X rebirth vs elite dangerous12/12/2023 Now it turns out that there is almost no sink in DV so all of my stations are useless because shipyard wont build anything. Where I don't need to import anything for anywhere. Anyway I have self sufficient economy now. For example I finished building small empire in DV (around 20 stations). There are other things in game but they are not perfected just like BigBANGtheory stated. And perhaps empire building is the only best thing that was made in it. But there are other things in game too and building is just part of it. Nobody here is saying that it is not Empire Building game. But when a video game allows the possession of other entities than you own, it becomes an empire building game, whether you want to build such an empire or not. In a "standard" video game, it only translate in a form of "RPGization". Store UI is horrible when you buy equipment for it. If they wore going to make us have one ship they should make it good. bridge mod Skunk interior is joke with only two rooms. We can land on ships but only on docking bays that are all the same and we cant even see anything because skunk is on the way Thank god for cap. NPC leveling system would be nice to for your crew and not this annoying small talk. Some secret missions or even using stun gun to stun NPC and capture him and bring him to justice would be nice. You can walk on stations but there is nothing to do there and nothing interesting there. My point XR have almost everything other game have but it is not executed right and not player appealing. You can do same thing in SC and it is much better. In XR you can land on ship and walk in it. For example XR have better system for trading(with other ships).But now it sucks that skunk cant trade anything(like in X3). Even X3 had better fighting mechanic(ship flying and control) than XR (that's just my opinion). In my opinion XR is on bottom of the list. I think OP is trying to compare those things together with other games. Anyway all of those other game have that. Or you can just do fighting missions or just board ships (pirate). There are other things you can do in game like just trade with one ship. XR is not just empire building game and empire building is only a part of it. There is a lot for both, but having said this If I have to choose, I pick Rebirth (let's see if Elite adds more meaningful content) Pirates don't have any action in their stations happening, Xenon are mindless killing machines without agenda, etc. Nothing misterious or intreguing in Rebirth.Įmpty space is boringly empty (lots of cointainers out of nowhere though). AI is shallow, void and boring most times, and they lack agenda. Amazing stations, amazing station building, weak and buggy missions (but improving steadily), not much reason to move once you have visited everywhere, done building with several stations and a fleet. Lots of things to do (hundres of hours), only one goal, build a "empire" (because there isn't much else to go for). Not even some sol planets are painted right. Visit mutiple solar systems, no nebulas, nothing interesting past the first few runs, the next system is a repetition of the previous one, different planet/moon and sun layout and rince and repeat again. Elite Dangerous = 4, 5 things very polished, do them once and again and again and again.
